Local artists in webcast from Jamaica

Bermudian artists will be performing in Jamaica as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of Studio One tomorrow.

Artists Ras Mykkal, Ninja Cutty and Corvin Melody will play in the music festival celebration that marks ?one love? and seals a half-a-century in music at the Ol? Coal Wharf in Port Royal.

The event will be available through Startime Productions, who will be Webcasting live the show by Internet on Pay-Per-View for $4.99.

They will perform during a 45 to 60 minute segment alongside Reggae greats like Charlie Chaplain and Omar Silk.

The Bermudians have been rehearsing with the Step by Step Band who will be backing them for the event.

Dancer Dy-Ann Simmons and cameraperson Essie Hollis are also travelling with the group. And Terrence Bean from Quest Consulting Ltd. is currently on-site managing all of the technical elements for the webcast.

Along with the local performers the concert will also feature several members of Reggae legend Bob Marley?s family and backup singer Marcia Griffiths and dozens of other musicians and singers associated with the studio.
