Nicole Lavinia Rose Joell of Southampton, daughter of Willis R. & Sandra Joell, and sister of Shanyce, started out her primary school education at West Pembroke Primary School.
She then attended Warwick Academy Secondary School graduating with her high school diploma.
After completing two years at Bermuda College, she transferred her credits to Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in three years.
Still wanting to follow her dream to become a nurse she went on to attend Dalhousie University School of Nursing in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Her previous degree allowed her to enter the two-year accelerated nursing programme, which she just recently graduated from on October 18th, 2003.
Her Bachelor of Nursing degree prepared her to pass the Registered Nurse (RN) exam and she is now a Registered Nurse in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
She will be working for two years in Halifax at the IWK Children?s and Women?s Hospital in the Special Care Nursery/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with premature and sick babies.
She hopes to gain valuable experience to bring back to Bermuda. Her ultimate goal is to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), which is an advanced practice nurse who has the same responsibilities as a Doctor would have.
She would like to thank God and all friends and family who have supported and continue to support her in her career endeavours.
