Royce-Ann James graduated from Alabama A&M University, Normal, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Dietetics, Magna Cum Laude in May 2001. She was recognised for outstanding academic achievements and was placed on the Dean's List and Honour Roll for the duration of her academic studies. Her biography was published in the 22nd Annual Edition of the National Dean's List, 1998-1999. She has been accepted in the Dietectic Internship Programme at Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia in September 2001. On successful completion she will obtain a Registered Dietitian's Diploma.
