Performers bring variety to art show

This year exciting performing arts entertainment will add spice to the Butterfield Bank Art Festival on Sunday.

The annual event takes place at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, in the Botanical Gardens, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Unlike in years past, the Art Festival will go on come rain or shine, said event organiser Victoria Evans, of Butterfield Bank.

?The Butterfield Bank Arts Festival is looking to go off with a bang,? she said.

?Eddie Ming?s Drum School, salsa dancers, Pride Bermuda and the Dragon Girls are just some of the artists who will be performing throughout the free Festival.

?The event will also be showing over 140 works by local artists on the theme of ?Many Cultures, One Future?.?

Ms Evans added that there is a wide range of attractions and activities for the whole family.

?People can vote for their favourite piece of art for the People?s Choice award, there?ll be free arts-n-crafts, face painting and Popsicle?s, and professional artists competing in the Quick Art competition throughout the day.?

Other performances will be by United Dance Productions, Dellwood Dancers, Bermuda Fencing Federation, Salsa Dancers, Bermuda School of Music, Jackson School, Dragon Girls, Pride Bermuda, CedarBridge Academy Cheerleaders and Jargan Theatre.
