Produce grown without use of chemicals
A farmers' market due to start in Hamilton this coming Saturday will be selling produce that has mostly been grown without chemicals.
One of the suppliers is Wadson's Farm in Southampton, which rears organically fed turkeys, and sells eggs and vegetables that have been produced without the use of chemicals.
A report in Monday's erroneously said the farmer's market would be selling many items that have been produced with chemicals ? it should have read "without chemicals".
As well as pasture-fed turkeys, chickens and eggs there will be local vegetables for sale, some of which will also be chemical-free although it is up to the buyer to check this with the seller.
The market reopens on November 19 at the Bull's Head car park in Canal Road, just north of Masters Ltd, and runs from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Anyone who would like to sell at the market should call Ms Frances Eddy on 238-0059.
