?We are bringing the hottest cooking styles and some of the world?s most famous chefs to the doorstep of every culinary fan on the Island,? said Graham Redford, managing director of Total Marketing and Communications Ltd.
This year?s festival will feature Bermuda?s first Viking Village sponsored by Bermuda Gas and Viking Equipment. This village, to be constructed in the main showring of the Botanical Gardens, will consist of six large tents that will house three kitchen studios custom designed by Design Associates, a BBQ demo kitchen, and a massive grand tent which will feature local and international food product samplings and over 30 vineyards, offering over 150 different wines for people to sample.
The finals of the Bermuda Fish Chowder Competition and the Escoffier Cup will be held in the village.
?We are very excited about the finals of the Escoffier Cup as again for the first time in Bermuda, the 4 semi finalists will be battling against each other side by side Iron Chef Style for the title of Bermuda?s Best Chef 2005,? said Mr. Redford. Internationally renowned wine experts Lisa Peju and Amy Reiley will also be on hand to conduct wine seminars and share their expertise on the fascinating subject of wines.
