Tiffanne Smith graduates
Tiffanne K. Smith of Mount View Road, Pembroke, daughter of Norma-Anne Smith and Ronald Smith graduated with Honors from Kean University May 8th, 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology (Honors Program). She also graduated with Honors from The University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, May 21st 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
While matriculating at Kean University, Tiffanne received the Honors Award for Psychology, the Symbolic Degree (awarded for achieving the highest GPA within the Bachelor of Science programme) and the Academic Distinction Award. She maintained Lambda Alpha Sigma Honor Society Spring 2002. She was an active member of the Psychology Club and was a French Tutor.
At The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey she received the Academic Excellence Award for the highest GPA in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation program. During her senior year she interned at two mental health agencies where she gained valuable experience. Tiffanne's various duties included linking clients with essential services within the community, directing group sessions, conducting job coaching for clients, preparing clients for the GED exams and consulting hospital bound patients.
Tiffanne is a 1998 Berkeley Institute Honors graduate. She plans to commence her graduate studies in the Spring 2004.
The commencement exercises were proudly attended by her parents, her grandparents Mrs. Lois Weeks, Mr. & Mrs. Richmond Smith, brother Ryan, aunts Sherrell Woods and Veronica Edwards, Carol Willis, godmother Darlene Justice and special friend Shawn Thomas.
