. . . and 2005 Glamorous Granny Ruby turns 90
It seems Mrs. Ruby Sampson has the formula for growing more and more glamorous as the years go by.
Sparkling in 2005, she was crowned Glamorous Grandmother of the Year.
By the time her 90th birthday rolled around on Saturday she had without doubt accentuated the positive, looking more glamorous than ever, making her grand entrance at the party given her that night.
Mrs. Sampson was under heavy manners not to prepare any celebration for her important milestone.
She was told she would be taken out and to keep herself quiet.
So she obliged, and thoroughly enjoyed the bash given her at the Land Fall Restaurant in Hamilton Parish.
Mrs. Sampson and her late husband Clifford were parents to three: sons, Kevin, Tyrone and Anton.
She now has 23 grandchildren and four great-grands, as well as a sister, Mrs. Glorice Brimmer, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
And that's probably why she was told not to plan her own celebration because of the likelihood she would want to invite all of the foregoing.
