Q: Is it true that David Beckham is moving back to Europe? I thought he was staying in Los Angeles. – K.R.

A: No, he is on loan to the Italian club AC Milan while US soccer teams, including his LA Galaxy, are in their off-season. This allows him to stay in match shape and also to be in contention to play again for the England team, of which he was formerly captain. He'll be back in Los Angeles.

Q: What is actor Vince Vaughn doing next? – L.D.

A: He co-stars with Reese Witherspoon in the new film Four Christmases, and is currently filming Couples Retreat, with Kristin Davis and Jason Bateman. He moves next to the comedy The H-Man Cometh, followed by the drama Sunny and 68, in which he'll play a poker champion battling alcoholism.

Q: Does that beautiful actress Natalie Portman (pictured) have any new movies coming out? – A.S.

A: She co-stars as one of a large ensemble cast, including Kevin Bacon and Orlando Bloom, in the romantic drama New York, I Love You, and co-stars with Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maquire in the upcoming war drama Brothers. She also just began filming Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, a family drama.

Q: What is that handsome actor Adrien Brody doing? – L.J.

A: He stars with Rachel Weisz in the romantic adventure The Brothers Bloom, due out in January, with Beyoncé in the musical drama Cadillac Records, due out this month, with Sarah Polley in the upcoming sci-fi film Splice and with French actress Emmanuelle Seigner in the thriller Giallo. He's also set to star in the action film The Courier, which goes into production in January, and, further down the road, to co-star with Michael Chiklis in the comedy High School.

Q: I think actor Jon Hamm is so talented. Is he doing movies too? – H.R.

A: Yes, the star of the Emmy-winning series Mad Men also has a movie career: He stars in the upcoming thriller The Boy in the Box and co-stars with Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly in the remake of the sci-fi classic The Day The Earth Stood Still, due out this month.

Q: Is it true that Michael Jackson is going to join his brothers on a reunion tour? – J.F

A: It was supposed to be. Jermaine Jackson announced that all five brothers were heading out on tour, with sister Janet as the opening act, but Michael immediately shot that down, saying that he was in the studio preparing his own projects. That may or may not be true, but he definitely said that Jermaine's statement wasn't.

Q: I haven't seen Hugh Grant in anything in a while. Does he have any new movies? – G.T

A: Not immediately. He's attached to a remake of the romantic comedy Trouble In Paradise, but it hasn't gone into production yet; and he's in discussions to co-star with Sarah Jessica Parker in a romantic comedy about an estranged New York power couple who witness a murder and are placed in the Witness Protection programme in a small Wyoming town.

Q: What is that actor Bradley Whitford from The West Wing doing? – H.K.

A: He was recently on Broadway in the comedy Boeing Boeing, and is now committed to returning to series TV, playing a police detective on the sitcom Off Duty, again for NBC.

Q: Is the Madonna-Alex Rodriguez thing real or fake? – J.F.

A: By the time you read this, it could be anything, but it's true that the Yankees star recently bought an apartment near Madonna's on Manhattan's Upper West Side and that the two were spotted taking helicopters out to Jerry Seinfield's mansion in the Hamptons. Reportedly, Madonna is also planning a trip to Malawi and expects A-Rod to go with her.

Q: Are they going to do another Spider-Man movie? – G.P.

A: Indeed they are; star Tobey Maguire has already signed on, and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire is writing the script for the fourth instalment. No plot details available as yet.
