Breaking News: Police car crashes into wall
A Police woman was hurt today when her car crashed into a wall near the entrance of Loyal Hill in Devonshire.
The officer was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of a leg injury after the accident around 4.15 p.m.
The incident happened in the vicinity of where Winslow “Scalie” Williams was beat up on Thursday after residents believed he was a burglar — and took matters into their own hands.
Yards away from the crash lies a sign that says “Don’t steal in Loyal Hill.”
A Police spokesman said: “Around 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire in the vicinity of Loyal Hill.
“Details about the collision involving a Police car are unclear at this time; however the driver, a female officer, sustained a leg injury.
“She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
