Former Mayor's son is new Master of Atlantic Phoenix
The name of another Worshipful Master has been added to the distinguished list of Atlantic Phoenix Masonic Lodge No 224, dating back to the time it was founded in 1787 on the Registry of the United Grand Lodge of England, writes Ira Philip.
The new Wor. Master is Bro. Benjamin Frith. He's the son of the late Mayor of Hamilton William Frith, who proposed him for membership six years ago. Installing Master was Wor. Bro. Michael E. Smith, himself a PM of Atlantic Phoenix.
The impressive ceremony, followed by a formal dinner, took place at Freemasons Hall on Reid Street in Hamilton. It was attended by The GRE District Grand Master R.W. Bro. Robert W Rego, JP and distinguished brethren of local Scottish and Irish Constitutions.
