Musical group Langhorne Slim and the War Eagles warmed up for their gig at the upcoming Bermuda International Film Festival (BIFF) Wrap Party with an appearance on the David Letterman Show tonight.

The three-piece band (pictured, above), which also features Malachi DeLorenzo and Paul DeFiglia, is headlining the Wrap Party at Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Saturday, April 5. Also on the bill is Bermudian reggae artist and comedian Uzimon, plus DJs Bonehawk and Dirkistan Freedom Fighters, and the festival awards ceremony.

Tickets to the Wrap Party are $80 in advance, $100 at the door. They are available now at www.biff.bm or from the festival box office at Washington Lane, Hamilton.

"Anyone who saw Langhorne play this summer at Live in the Gardens knows that he is a great live performer," says Jon Legere of Volcanic Productions. "He and the band are authentic, gritty, and passionate about their music. As live performers, they really give it up."

On opening night on Friday, Volcanic Productions blows the doors open to this year's festival with the BIFF Launch Party at Rock Island Café, Reid Street, Hamilton.

DJ Bonehawk will provide the music for the party, which starts at 8 p.m. and goes until 1 a.m .

Tickets are $20 and include a free drink and catered food. BIFF Late Nites are the place to meet the visiting filmmakers, jury, international press and visiting industry professionals.

From opening night onwards, Late Nites are the place to be from 9 p.m. until the wee hours of the morning.

Late Nites kick off at Heritage Court at Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Saturday.

The schedule for the rest of the week is: Monday – Opus Café and Lounge; Tuesday – Hog Penny; Wednesday – Robin Hood; Thursday – Fresco's Restaurant & Wine Bar.
