Entrants are being sought for the Bermuda Christmas Boat Parade, which is marking its tenth anniversary this year.

The event will take place in Hamilton Harbour on Saturday, December 8, from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m., with a rain date set aside the following day.

The parade, which attracts more than 20,000 spectators, is one of the Island's most popular annual get-togethers.

Steve Thomson, of the Boat Parade Committee, promised organisers would celebrate the tenth anniversary in style.

"Several big additions are in the works," he said. "It will be bigger and better than ever before. And it's been wonderful before.

"We are appealing to all boat owners to join us and support us for our tenth anniversary. If you've never been in the parade, this is the year to come on in. If you have already entered before, we want to welcome you back. You already know how fun it is."

Participants will be invited to a special cocktail party hosted by Bacardi, while early entries (before November 15) will be entered in a draw for two round trip tickets to New York sponsored by American Airlines, and be eligible for more than 30 grand prizes.
