Festival offering two masterclasses
Following the success of last year's Community Outreach events, the Bermuda Festival is again offering two masterclasses during the current season.
Clarinet virtuoso Richard Stoltzman will conduct a masterclass in that instrument next Wednesday at City Hall Theatre at 6 p.m., while Nigel Short, director of the British professional chamber choir Tenebrae will conduct a vocal masterclass at the Bermuda School of Music at the old Berkeley school on Monday, February 11 at 6 p.m.
Both events are open to the public, and tickets ($5) are available on line (www. bermudafestival.org), from the Festival box office on Front Street, as well as at the door.
"These informal classes are highly entertaining and enjoyable as well as informative, and were very popular last year," the Festival's artistic director, Karen Pollard, noted.
Those wishing to participate in the masterclasses are asked to callMrs. Pollard at 295-1291.
