'Girls Night In' functions set for Friday

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Women's Resource Centre will be hosting a Girls Night In on Friday to raise funds for both themselves and Bermuda Cancer and Health.

The evening, which will be held at the Women's Resource Centre on Reid Street above Music Box, will run from 5 to 7 p.m. There is no charge, but donations are welcome.

"Come in and have a glass of wine before you go home, go on to happy hour or whatever you do next," said Kathy Harriott, of the Women's Resource Centre. "Our board members and staff will be here to greet people."

Light hors d'oeuvres will be served, as well as wine and other beverages, and those attending will be able to receive information on breast cancer and the services available through the Centre.

Guests will also have the chance to win an iPod Shuffle, and as Friday is also Breast Cancer Awareness Denim Day, those attending in denim will get two chances to win. Gift bags with samples from Strands, Gibbons and other suppliers will also be available.
