Leadership Centre to focus on women's development
Bermuda's Centre for Leadership brings you the first of its kind, a leadership conference specifically for women.
The event takes place on December 5, at the Fairmont Southampton's Mid-Ocean Amphitheatre and featured Benjamin Zander, an internationally acclaimed speaker with an important message about leadership.
Sharing the podium will be Carolyn Buck-Luce, an American leader in woman's studies and research, and co-chair of the international The Hidden Brain Drain Task Force.
Hear and learn from some of Bermuda's top women executives on what success and leadership means for them, what has worked for them, and what they recommend for tomorrow's leaders.
The conference also allows for the discussion of the National Survey of Woman executives results.
Women can take a closer look at what other women have said about their journey, their successes, challenges they face at work and what they want in the future.
There will also be a panel of Bermuda's top CEO's talking about today's war for talent, the power of diversity, the value proposition that women bring to the workforce and what they are doing to support the future success of women.
The morning will be spent with Mr. Zander, who has an inspiring and uplifting message about Leadership in today's world.
He will speak on ways to create new and inspiring possibilities in a fast-changing, ever-competitive world. The power of positive thinking, and how it can transform your life, your career and your organisation.
Benjamin Zander has an extensive speaking career, travelling the world lecturing to organisations on leadership.
He has appeared four times as a keynote speaker at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he was presented with the Crystal award for "outstanding contributions in the Arts and international relations".
The best-selling book, "The Art of Possibility," co-authored with his partner, leading psychotherapist Rosamund Zander, has been translated into fifteen languages.
Mr. Zander was awarded the 2002 "Caring Citizen of the Humanities" Award by the International Council for Caring Communities at the United Nations.
