Mysteries of natural fibres revealedThe Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, Elliot Gallery and the Bank of Bermuda Foundation are hosting free demonstrations of the many uses of natural fibres and fibre arts by visiting and local artists at their Devonshire gallery today, tomorrow and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.This is an opportunity to learn about spinning, knitting, weaving, rug hooking, tapestry, wet felting and needle felting, dyeing fibre and cloth, yarn painting with dyes, as well as basket making, and see how it is all done. There will also be a display of dyed fibres, and an opportunity to experience the feel of a sheep's fleece, and to learn about different fibres and their unique properties.

'Messiah' singalong at Wesley Methodist Church

If you have ever longed to sing Christmas portion of Handel's glorious oratorio, 'The Messiah', Wesley Methodist Church organist and music director Lloyd Matthew is inviting you to join others in doing just that on December 23. Just be in good voice and bring your copy of the oratorio with you.

The venue is the Wesley Methodist Church, the starting time is 4 p.m., and a donation of $10 towards the organ restoration fund is requested. For further information contact the church office at 292-0418 Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
