New York's Top DJ, Funkmaster Flex was on the island on Friday night spinning the turntables at the Fairmont Southampton resort in the Mid Ocean Amphitheatre.
This was a charity event for the Women's Resource Centre and The Physical Abuse Centre.
The evening started out with local DJ's to get the crowd hype and then ended with the popular style's of Flex who can be heard daily on the popular Hot 97 radio station in New York City.
The theatre drew local crowds as well as tourist who saw it as a treat to be entertained by the famous DJ.
"I was here one the Island for business, although the weather was not so good, I am in love with this island - but I was pleasantly surprised when I heard Flex was playing here tonight. I called my husband and told him of the fun I was about to have," said an American tourist from Virginia.
Flex arrived in Bermuda on Friday afternoon and performed that same night, he only spent one day in Bermuda and said he loved it and is planning on returning in the future.
When asked how he felt about the local DJs he said, "I spent about an hour listening to the local DJs. I think they were pretty good. As long as you can keep the people on the dance floor you're doing good."
Although the theatre was not packed out as suspected, the styling of Flex kept everyone's feet moving and bodies swaying which makes for a good party.
"The vibe was nice, and I could listen to Flex playing all night if they let me 'cause he's cris," commented Aron Daniels.
"The tickets price was kind of expensive so that's why I think it wasn't a soldout show but overall the music was nice, and it was for a good cause," said a local attendee.
