Collie Buddz, has just finished a European tour and is currently taking his particular Bermudian style across America. He is also one of the artists that can be voted for on “106 and Park”, BET’s music and entertainment show. The local entertainer has the opportunity to make it to number one on the BET programme. His video is on the list to possibly make the Top 10 Countdown for BET’s “106 and Park”.
The artist is now based in the US, has been making quite an impact with his tune “Come Around”. He is signed to Sony Music in the US, and he is the sole reggae act working with the label at the moment.
In the past, acts such as Tiger, Tony Rebel, Diana King, Mad Cobra, Tanto Metro and Devonte, Shabba Ranks, Super Cat and Patra were signed to various Sony Music subsidiaries.
“Come Around” is expected to jump start the pending major label debut for him.
The track recently topped the BBC 1Xtra. Dancehall chart in the UK. It is still the top seller on the reggae charts in Germany, while in Jamaica, it has hit two charts. The video clip for ‘Come Around’ was recently shot on location in Jamaica. It was directed by Ras Kassa the Guru. “106 and Park” airs Monday to Friday, at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at noon and 7 p.m. Bermuda time.
