As one door closed another opened for artist Trevor Todd — aka Cosmic Consciousness.

Mr. Todd had a show at the beginning of March at the Kafu Gallery, so how will he top his recent success when his new show opens at the Kaleidoscope Gallery tonight?

Well, he said, his pieces for the Kaleidoscope show are in stark contrast to those of his two previous shows.

"These pieces consist of lots of colour and are more an expression of my 'colourful' self," he said.

"Before my first show, I started messing around with colours on cardboard.

"Recently, I approached Fiona (Rose Rodriguez-Roberts) at Kaleidoscope just to inquire about having an art show and a space became available.

"From that opportunity being presented to me, I decided to express myself in a different way than in the past and build on the colour themes I had been experimenting with awhile back."

The exhibition, entitled 'Colour and Sound Healing' is a series of acrylic works on canvas panels.

"For me, the secret is being in the moment and capturing it the best way I can no matter where I am," the artist said.

"As I prepare for one show, I am always thinking ahead and preparing for the next, so it took me about a week to complete most of my pieces."

This evening's opening is from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. and will also feature Didgeridoo healing. The show will remain up until April 9 and the gallery is open daily between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
