Sandys Secondary 80th Anniversary Celebrations. World-renowned Baritone, Leon Williams will be joined by Deon Flash. Others participating include: The Emancipations, Michael Taylor and Friends, and an instrumental ensemble. Registration/auditions for International Model of the Year will be held in the Washington Mall. Bermuda's international model, Amir, of Gino Productions is hosting the registration, which will be followed by the International Model Workshop series at Berkeley Institute beginning on October 27. This is all leading to the Bermuda's Next Top Model 2nd Annual Preliminary Competition, in December.

“The Turtle who ate a Balloon” book signing will take place at the Bookmart in Brown & Co. on Reid Street. Author Andrew Stevenson and illustrator Peter Woolcock will be on hand from 10.30 a.m.

Humpback Whale Film Project/Andrew Stevenson Talk by Captain Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, 7 p.m. Tickets: $20. All revenue to Sea Shepherd Conservtion Society.

The Women’s Resource Centre event “Take Back the Night” march begins at Albuoy's Point at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

International Model of the Year workshop series begin at the Berkeley Institute today with Bermuda's international model, Amir, of Gino Productions. This all leads to the Bermuda's Next Top Model 2nd Annual Preliminary Competition, in December.

The Bermuda School of Music Concert will feature Robin Ward and Oliver Brugada Grant, a concert pianist. The Sierra Leonean Community in Bermuda are hosting an ecumenical service of thanksgiving for Sierra Leone at St. Mary's Church, Warwick, 6 p.m. Refreshments following.
