Treasure Hunters' Market to benefit The Centre

Turning unwanted possessions into cash is always a smart thing to do, but when the process also includes fund-raising for The Centre, a registered charity, then getting on with the annual Spring cleaning is twice as smart.

Beginning on Saturday, April 26 – and thereafter on the last Saturday of each month – a Treasure Hunters' Market will be held at the Angle Street facility from 1 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

Vendors will pay $10 per table, and allowed a maximum of two. Tables must be booked and paid for in advance at The Centre between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. from today, and the deadline for the first sale is 6 p.m. on Friday, April 25.

The booking fee will go towards the work of The Centre, while vendors will keep the proceeds of their sales.

"It is going to be on the style of a flea market, and people can bring whatever they need to sell, and set up their table(s) whatever way the like," a spokeswoman for The Centre said. "We're in the bright blue building opposite Dellwood Middle School, so come and have a look – there's no telling what you'll find."

Extra parking will be available at Dellwood Middle School. For further information telephone Frankie or Aria on 292-1343 or 799-0300.
