National Gallery's fourth biennial exhibition in order to meet the Christmas closing date.

"The closing date is earlier than in past years because the exhibition will open on March 15, 2000, which is the Gallery's eighth anniversary, so judging will take place in mid-January,'' director Laura Gorham explained.

Entrants must either be Bermudian or resident in Bermuda, and submissions should include slides of up to ten artworks which have been completed since January, 1998.

"While the artwork will be juried by an international panel, the first `jury' is the artists themselves,'' Mrs. Gorham said.

"So they must choose what they consider to be their ten best works in the past two years.'' An up-to-date biography, including details of art training, commissions, and all exhibitions in which their work has been included, is also required.

Any questions surrounding entries for the exhibition should be directed to the National Gallery's senior curator, Ms Marlee Robinson, on 295-9428.
