Lesley Lowe told The Royal Gazette that 30 members of the band and 28 ladies from the auxiliary will be flying to Canada on June 17.
They will be based in Toronto and will play in the Sound of Music parade in Burlington, Ontario on June 19.
The Toronto branch of the Department of Tourism has arranged for the band to play two lunchtime concerts, one at the North Toronto Civic Centre and the other at the Albert Campbell Square in Scarborough.
Mr. Lowe explained that the main reason for the trip was to provide an incentive to band members and to attract new members.
Band leader: Mr. Leslie Lowe will take members of the Somerset Brigade Band to Canada on June 17 for a week of visiting, concerts and parades in the Toronto area.
