Mr. Donald Lines, president and chief executive officer, said last week the Bank would award five new scholarships next month to Bermudian students who are in their final year, or have completed secondary school, or are attending Bermuda College.

The President's Awards for Scholastic Achievement are worth $4,000 each and are tenable for one year.

Students of "modest means who display scholastic ability, athletic, cultural, artistic and other non-academic aptitude, qualities of good moral character, leadership, community involvement and dedication to achievement'' are eligible.

Application forms are available by calling 299-5055 or from the third floor of the Bank of Bermuda on Gorham Road. The deadline is 5 p.m. on August 13.
