The restaurant is under new management as of today.

Mr. Mocklow said that he had difficulties getting satisfactory help to manage the restaurant.

Mr. Anthony White and Mr. Jose Camacho are the new operators. Both have previous restaurant experience at a local hotel.

The eight-year-old business employs about a dozen people and seats about 120.

It built a reputation on German cuisine.

Mr. Mocklow is the second consecutive operator who had trouble finding a suitable manager.

Mr. Geza Wolf sold the business in October last year, after one partner left the Island and another took over another restaurant.

"It is a two man operation. I tried to run it myself. But then I tried to get a second manager, but I could not find anyone suitable,'' said Mr. Mocklow this week.

The new operators said that they will immediately study methods of improving the business, including possibly extending the roof.

They said that they hoped to make an atmosphere that was more family-oriented.

But they also intend to create an area for sports fans to watch televised games.

The cuisine is being prepared by three chefs, a Bermudian, an Italian and a Sri Lankan.
