Bus driver thanked
And the five volunteer bus drivers received certificates of thanks on Thursday.
The men helped take 400 elderly folk to a Bermuda Lions and Lioness Club World Service Day luncheon.
Highlight of last month's event at Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort was a speech by Shadow Health and Social Services Minister Mr. Nelson Bascome.
Yesterday Chairman of the Lions World Service Day Ms Dessaline Waldron praised the bus drivers' efforts.
"They were absolutely marvellous in giving their services free,'' she said.
"The luncheon was a great success.'' Ms Waldron said the Lions Club laid on private transport for old folk unable to take a bus.
