needy families tomorrow.

The Coalition for the Protection of Children is holding the event -- between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at their Mount Hill, Pembroke offices -- as part of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

While the items will not be priced, they are hoping for donations.

About 30 children's desks, tables, beds, and toys will be available.

"People over the last year have been so generous in giving us furniture and toys that we have more than we can use,'' Coalition chairperson Sheelagh Cooper said, "so we were storing these items ourselves and we have run out of space.''
