Colourful boats to repeat festive Christmas parade
standstill this year.
Organisers have decided to stage the Christmas Boat Parade again, following the success of last year's event.
On December 18, dozens of decorated and fancy-dressed yachts of all shapes and sizes will promenade along the Harbour in front of thousands of spectators on a closed-off Front Street.
As an extra celebration, a public party is planned for Barr's Bay and several businesses along the route are planning functions to coincide with the parade.
The vessels will leave from the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club and move around the harbour, before a grand fireworks festival tops the evening off.
Last year, more than 60 vessels took part in the event run by the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute and it is hoped that many more will enter this year.
