Come in and be greeted by a smile, promises president

"As people pass through the elegant Cedar entrance way of Action World Travel Agency they are greeted with a smile and their choice of beverages,'' said President of the Agency Mr. Andre Curtis. They then have the option of watching a travel video on the TV monitor hanging over the reception area or go through one of the hundreds of brochures available to them. "Our objective is to offer a total customer orientated package where everyone gets the VIP treatment.'' Mr. Curtis explained. "The business is run by a variety of professionals geared toward one thing, making the customer happy.'' said Mr.

James Landy, vice president of the agency who added, "We are one happy family.'' It is all in the family with Mr. Curtis's mother Mrs. Madree Curtis working at the reception desk and his sister Miss. Andrea Curtis who is the Administrative Assistant. But Mr. Curtis is not the only partner with family working at the agency Mr. Landy's wife Mrs. Grace Landy is the Accounts Administrator. A line up of travel consultants cater to customers headed up by Travel Manager Mrs. June Frith. Other Travel Consultants are Senior Travel Consultant Ms Ava Simmons, Mrs. Linda Coxall, Miss Colleen Clarke and Cruise Consultants Mrs. Mona Goater And Mrs. Sonya Simons. Mrs. Goater, who recently returned from a cruise seminar in Fort Lauderdale, said, "We believe these seminars are very important because in order to provide our customers with the right product we must continuously keep ourselves abreast of new products and developments.'' Mrs. Goater also addressed one of the reasons why many who want to take a cruise never do.

"People are often daunted by cruise packages because of high prices but when comparing them with land packages quite often a cruise gives more value for money.'' Mrs. Goater urged customers to look at the fact that when cruising they in fact are paying for Entertainment, getting up to eight meals daily, and docking in different ports without the inconvenience of unpacking.

Selling and providing customer service is nothing new to Mrs. Goater who is a veteran of the travel industry.

"We at Action Travel are dedicated to providing our clients with spectacular service and value for money.'' Mrs. Sonya Simons, who works along with Mrs. Goater, also stressed the value of cruises.

"Cruises are going to be the way to go in the year 2000. Cruise ship companies are spending billions on new ships in order to keep up with the travel demand.'' ELEGANTLY COMFORTABLE -- The new reception area at Action World Travel shows the Cedar Door and brochure holders and the new reception area.
