The 73-year-old Government Minister was reportedly taken off the new weekend cruise ship Crown Dynasty in Dockyard on Friday night and rushed directly to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The ship had cruised from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Dame Lois was not in the House of Assembly on Friday.

A hospital spokesperson said last night Dame Lois was resting "quite comfortably'' in a general ward.
