The day, entitled "Nine Parishes in Unity'', will be held in King's Square and Ordnance Island on September 19.

"We feel this event is important in bringing the entire community together for some family fun,'' organiser Molessia Joynes said.

"Midland Drama works with various sections of the community to raise awareness of drama and the arts and helps to nurture people's creative talents.'' Running from noon to 9 p.m., the event will feature performances by school and church choirs, a fashion show, a production by Midland Drama called "Twiggy Goes to Broadway'', and the Dunkely's Dairy 5-kilometre road race.

Food stalls, a flea market, and the Bermuda Electric Light Company's Kiddie Korner will be on hand. The Kiddie Korner -- which will open from 2.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. -- will include a fun castle, train rides, a ferris wheel, and appearances by some of Bermuda's famous mascots -- the Belco Bird and Barney and Baby Bop.
