The entertainers have donated their time and talent to perform in this year's Caribfest, which is to raise money to send a group of Bermudians to the Special Olympics.

National director and organiser of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics P.c. Pythagoras James said the groups slated to perform are a 14-member band from Trinidad called Massive Chandler and Christopher "Tambu'' Herbert also from Trinidad.

And popular groups from Barbados, Mac Fingal and Red Plastic Bag will also perform.

The master of ceremonies will be Power 95's "smooth operator'' Glen Blakeney and comedian Bootsie will give the audience a laugh.

"All the events are in honour of the torch coming to the shores of Bermuda and that is with respect to the 1995 Special Olympic world games in New Haven, Connecticut this summer.

"Bermuda will be sending 34 representative athletes to participate in the games,'' P.c. James said.

He added that the honorary chairman of the Caribfest events is the Governor Lord Waddington, who will host a cocktail reception at the Government house tonight.

The Caribfest will take place at the Victualling Yard in Dockyard.
