More oxygen to put power into your life
Are you susceptible to colds and flu, craving sweets or alcohol or waking up tired after eight hours sleep? According to Japanese Medical Doctor Shizuo Inoue a lack of oxygen is the root of these symptoms and most or perhaps all disease. Bacteria, viruses, parasites and malignant tumors thrive in a low oxygen environment. Daily, people consume a chemical cocktail made up of chemical residues in farm products, processed foods, water supplies and the air we breathe. Such health detriment is compounded by poor or improper diet and breathing habits, work or study stress and sedentary lifestyles.
Dr. Inoue who is chairman of Japan's Oxygen Health Association and the author of the book Health and Oxygen Efficient Aerobic Exercise, has been researching the relationship between oxygen levels in the body and the quality of human health for decades. Based on his research, Dr. Inoue invented the Oxygen Machine, otherwise known as the Chi Machine.
He was inspired to design the machine by watching goldfish swimming. Noting how remarkably healthy and well-toned fish are, Dr. Inoue thought that perhaps the steady undulation of the spine causes the fish's whole body to be exercised and oxygenated.
Human spinal design permits lateral twisting-snake like movement that seems to relieve vertebrae joint pressure and promote a sense of well-being. Unlike children, adults seldom realize the benefit of this movement. Consequently stress and tension accumulate in the body. Observe how a baby swings from right to left, stretches and twists in its crib. This is a natural human movement which simultaneously relaxes and creates energy.
The Oxygen or Chi Machine which fits into a small carrying case is designed to impart this natural wave-like motion to the user. To use the machine one lays on the floor with their ankles placed on top of the Chi Machine. The left to right motion of the machine causes a rhythmic swaying of the body and spine providing a gentle massage which promotes blood circulation and fluid drainage while inducing a deep state of relaxation. It has been estimated that fifteen minutes of this fish like passive motion is equivalent to approximately ninety minutes of walking in terms of providing oxygen to the tissues.
The machine which is widely use in the Far East is now becoming popular in the west, turning up in health spas, Doctor's offices and gyms. Proponents of the machine claim it has helped them with a wide range of disorders including asthma, menstrual pain, varicose veins, back pain, prostate problems, sore muscles, fatigue, migraines, digestive difficulties and diabetic neuropathy.
The spinal column or backbone, is made up of twenty-four bones called vertebrae that surround and protect the spinal cord.
Between each vertebra, pairs of spinal nerves exit and extend to every part of the body, including muscles, bones, organs and glands. Any impairment of the spinal alignment or abnormal spinal pressure on vertebra joints can therefore cause dysfunction in other parts of the body., "The Chi Machine's ability to oxygenate, tone and strengthen the body increases the feelings of aliveness or well being -- that is, raises the chi or life force in the bodies of those who use it on a daily basis,'' says Dr. Inoue. (Chi is the Chinese word which refers to the life force or energy.) Bermudian distributor of the machine Ammu Aakhu says he tried the machine while at a retreat, and was so impressed he decided to become a distributor locally. He sells the machine at the US cost and says that local purchasers have been very pleased with the results. "You know how they have Tupperware parties, you're soon going be hearing about chi parties,'' says Ammu Aakhu.
