Nurses need to be decisive

Cares for the sick and injured and helps people stay well. Provides for the physical, mental and emotional needs of their patients. Observes, assesses and records symptoms, reactions and progress; assists physicians during treatments and examinations; administers medications; and assists in convalescence and rehabilitation.

Also develops and manages nursing care plans; instructs patients and their families in proper care; and helps individuals and groups take steps to improve or maintain their health.
