The Original Dudley Hill Reunion had a fun July get-together at the St. Paul's Christian Education Centre in Paget.
People dipped into their pockets for the event, and organisers found they had enough money left over to boost a worthy cause.
They picked the Patients' Assistance League and Services (PALS), which helps cancer patients.
Last week PALS' chairwoman Mrs. Ann Smith Gordon received a $300 cheque.
Chairperson of the reunion group, Mrs. Olney Bean, said some of its members lived at Dudley Hill in the '50s, '60s, and '70s.
She explained the July reunion featured games, and a special presentation of "appreciation'' certificates to some of the more elderly members.
"They had acted as role models,'' said Mrs. Bean.
