The Royal Gazette yesterday revealed some people had not been refunded after the 11th-hour cancellation of last Saturday's concert.

Yesterday, Bermudian organiser Mr. Murray Brown, who is in Jamaica, has vowed everybody owed money would be paid.

This included debts to local businesses, which amounted to less than $3,000, he added.

The concert had been organised by Pro Exec Entertainment, of which Mr. Brown is a member.

Scores of fans turned up to Frog Lane Field, Devonshire, to be told the event had been called off.

It has emerged a sound system company pulled out of the concert hours before it was due to start.

Great Sound Rentals had demanded money in advance -- but none was forthcoming.

Organisers blamed poor ticket sales and "inclement weather'' for the cancellation.

Yesterday Mr. Brown said all debts would be paid once he has returned to the Island.

"Other than the amount for returned tickets, which is in the process of verification, the amounts owed to businesses total less than $3,000,'' a statement said. "Mr. Brown accepts the responsibility of those persons connected with the show who did not follow up prior to his departure, and apologses for any inconvenience.''
