Raffle plays off for club
Bermuda drew its seasonal raffle.
Denyell Dublin, from Pembroke, Michelle Hodder, from Hamilton Parish, and Dollene Simmons, from Southampton, were presented with their prizes, each receiving a hard-to-find Sony PlayStation 2 worth $400.
Hundreds of tickets were sold for the raffle, which has raised cash to help provide the club with new equipment.
Presenting the prizes were instructors Sam Brangman and Professor Alvin Lee.
Winner Mrs Hodder said: "I have never won anything before. It was a nice surprise for Christmas.'' Ms Simmons said: "My children are normally very lucky, but I don't win anything. This is a change. It's nice.'' Luck of the draw: Lucky winners of the Jiu Jitsu Club of Bermuda Christmas raffle were, from bottom left: Dollene Simmons, Denyell Dublin, and Michelle Hodder.
