Saltus student soars

Mr. Tucker, 18, was chosen for his notable academic performance and his diverse extra-curricular activities.
The ACE Foundation's Candace Laing said, "In addition to maintaining excellent grades at Saltus, he has achieved all of the awards for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (bronze, silver and gold).
"Kavan has participated in the Big Brother/Big Sisters programme and has successfully completed the Young Enterprise programme. Kavan exemplifies the spirit of this scholarship -- dedication, hard work, enthusiasm and commitment.'' Kavan begins schooling in New York at the College of Insurance, studying Risk Management and Insurance, with a view to majoring in Actuarial Science.
The Robert Clements/ACE Scholars Programme is administered by the ACE Foundation and funds the cost of pursuing an undergraduate or MBA degree in insurance or risk management at the College.
It was established in 1996 in honour of ACE founder Robert Clements, and to mark the tenth anniversary of ACE.
