Guest speaker Tom Sterling will look at the old and much revered land, including Edinburgh, Inverness, Balmoral, Dunrobin and Urquart castles.

He will also talk about those things synonymous with Scotland, such as bagpipes, whiskey distilleries, Cheviot sheep and the red deer stags.

A film exploring the beautiful Loch Ness and the tourist town of Aviemore will also be shown, along with the Highland Wildlife Park.

Mr. Sterling is a resident of Twin Lakes, Winconsin. He grew up in southern Michigan, where a consuming interest in the outdoors and travel led him to a summer job in Yellowstone National Park. He then spent five years in the US Air Force.

After military service, Mr. Sterling went to the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and acquired a degree as an interpretive field naturalist.

Since graduation, he has produced several lecture films and programmes for the Discovery Channel, PBS and CBC.

The meeting will be held tonight from 7.30 p.m. at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute in Hamilton. Tickets at the door will cost $7.50 for members and $10 for non-members.
