The aim of Action World Travel is to give the customer the best service at the most affordable prices. "We want to put ourselves in the customers shoes and treat them accordingly.'' explained President Mr. Andre Curtis. "Outside of giving good service we want to give special attention to those with lower budgets and enable them to have a more enjoyable and affordable vacation,'' added vice president of the agency Mr. James Landy. "As individuals who have traveled extensively we would like to give people a better insight into travel.'' Mrs. June Frith gave an insight into some of the many specials the agency have made available throughout the year. "First we had the Essence Festival which is was held on July 1-3 in New Orleans.'' "A number of people went on that excursion which included a number of musical performers such as Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, Boyz II Men and Earth Wind and Fire.''she said. "It will be available annually at our agency and we invite those that missed this years show to book with us for next years one.'' "Another of our value packages is on Labour Day when we offer affordable cruises out of Miami.'' Mrs. Frith said that as well as those packages their will be a Cup Match tour travelling to Toronto called "Caribana'' which is the largest Caribbean music festival and a shopping tour held during Thanksgiving in Atlanta Georgia. All tours include Airfare accommodations ground transportation and the Thanks Giving Day tour includes Thanks Giving dinner.

Mrs. Frith said that the agency deals with corporate as well as leisure travel. "We are trying to establish ourselves in the Travel Market and in the future would like to become a viable alternative when people want to make travel arrangements.'' "Our actual Goal is to have the agency become a household name. We want to get the people in our doors and have our share of the travel market.'' Mrs. Frith said. The agency offers a save to travel plan where people can open an account for future travel and Mrs. Frith assures any customer that walks through the agencies doors the best and most affordable vacation available. "Traveling nowadays no longer involves just buying a plane ticket, there is so much more to do and see.'' Mrs. Frith said. "Many people look at a travel brochure and just see the price but there is a lot that can be done to ensure the price is kept to a minimum for those that do not have a large budget.'' The new flights that have come on line in the last two years have helped the industry by giving Bermudians more connecting flights once they arrive in the States. According to Mrs. Frith the service level on the flights has also increased making the agents job a lot easier.

"Flights like Kiwi and Continental that go through Newark Chicago and Atlanta allow for more connections although we do a lot of business with American Airlines which has a number of flights to the Caribbean and South America.''she said. "We also intend to do a some educational tours with local schools at some point in the future.'' added Mrs. Frith. "Our goal is to become an essential and unique travel service in the community.'' she said.
