delight local audiences with a solo performance at City Hall on Sunday evening.

In a varied programme devised by Dr. Gary Burgess, which will include lieder, excerpts from the opera, and negro spirituals, Mrs. Clamens will sing works by Beethoven, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Puccini, and Mozart.

Mrs. Clamens studied voice with Dr. Burgess in Buffalo, New York, before proceeding to the College Conservatory of Music and Cincinnatti Conservatory of Music, from which she graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelor's degree in voice performance.

Mrs. Clamens will be accompanied by Canadian-born pianist Nikki Herbst, who is on the faculty of the Bermuda Conservatory of Music, where she teaches traditional and Suzuki piano.

Miss Herbst, who holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Lethbridge (Alberta), a Master's degree in Piano Performance from Brandon University (Manitoba), and an A.R.C.T. performance diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto), has previously appeared locally with the Daylesford Sinfonia, the Bermuda Philharmonic, and as a soloist and accompanist in various Bermuda Conservatory concerts and soirees.

Sunday's recital will begin at 8 p.m., and tickets ($20) will be sold at City Hall box office from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Saturday, and thereafter at the door.
