persons with special needs and the community to use the Warwick facility.

As the guest speaker at Hamilton Lions Club's weekly luncheon, Marian Sherratt highlighted some of the activities which the community can participate in such as arts and crafts, special events, light exercises, displays and receptions and walks.

WindReach is a registered charity and its mission is to provide recreational, educational and work experience opportunities for persons with special needs of all ages and abilities.

Mrs. Sherratt explained that other charities can use the facilities such as the Activity Centre which is now fully operational and fully accessible with bathrooms, kitchens and an elevator.

The facility was founded by Bermudian Alexander J. (Sandy) Mitchell a few years ago and is based on his successful WindReach farm in Canada.

"If you think you are not special needs either think again, or just wait a few years,'' Mrs. Sherratt said to show that the needs of the community affect everybody.

Mrs. Sherratt welcomed nursery and school children, seniors, special needs groups, other clubs and organisations to use the 5000-square-foot Activity Centre which is available for rent to other charities and clubs.

She also said the WindReach Village committee continually looked for better ways to use the facility and encouraged groups and volunteers to visit and participate.
