A feast of activities for kids
Make a delicious batch of Christmas cookies -- gingerbread, sugar and shortbread are favourites of children of all ages; Let your child help you wrap Christmas presents and then go out and deliver them to family and friends; Gather the neighbourhood children together and go carolling; Visit the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, Dockyard, the Island's historic forts and attractions or go for a scenic ferry ride; To commemorate the new millennium, get your child to create a time capsule, filling it with photos and mementos that represent what your child thinks were important events or occurrences of the 20th century; Check out the animated sequel, Toy Story 2, playing at the Little Theatre this week. Show times are 2, 4.30, 7 and 9.30 p.m. The theatre will be closed Christmas and Boxing Day; The Christmas holidays are the perfect opportunity to explore your child's cultural side -- visit one of the Island's many art galleries and feed their imagination and creativity; and Go for a drive on Boxing Day and see if you can find the Gombeys -- they're sure to be out dancing about somewhere.
