Adult is passport to frightful fun

Ghostly Gilbert invites all members of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute to don costumes and creep or crawl to the BUEI on Saturday.

An adult will be the Passport to all the fearful fun for children at the Annual Members Halloween Party between 3 and 5 p.m.

Prizes will be presented for creative costumes and terrible treats will be served.

*** The Bermuda National Gallery Film Series tonight presents the Swedish film, Seventh Seal.

The 1956 film, which is said to be years ahead of most Hollywood productions because of its depth and substance, will be screened at 7 p.m., doors open at 6.15 p.m.

Tickets are $4 for Bermuda National Gallery members and $6 for nonmembers.

*** The Asia Society of Bermuda and the Tibetan Interest Group presents Tibet Issues and the Spread of Tibetan Buddhism at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute on Thursday.

The event, which gets underway at 7.30 p.m., will feature speeches by Society president Ambassador Platt and its director William McKeever.

Tickets are $10 and available at Triminghams (main store, gift department), the Body Shop or the Book Celler.

*** Attention all graduates and teachers of Northland's Secondary School -- the Class of 1989's 10 year reunion will be held next month.
