Artist holds painting workshop
for beginners with Amy Evans on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17.
The workshop will be held at the centre from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Whether you're a complete beginner or just want to brush up on some basic techniques and skills, this is an ideal session for you.
Mrs. Evans will deal with the fundamentals of watercolour painting and will pass on useful advice on techniques and materials.

*** The Garden Club of Bermuda's popular annual open house and garden tours open this week and are open to the public.
The tours will take place every Wednesday until the end of May, rain or shine, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission adults $12, children $6, includes all houses in th egroup and refreshments. Tickets are on sale at each house.
Proceeds are shared between horticulturally related civic improvements and scholarships.
The tours are: Tomorrow, Warwick and Paget Parishes: Cedar Lodge, 6 Harbour Road; Backgammon, 3 Cobbs Hill Road; and Edgewood, 26 Cobbs Hill Road.

*** Hamilton Lions Club are to move to new premises for their weekly meetings at the end of the month.
The club has been meeting at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club over the winter period, but the stay was only a temporary one and now they are to move to the Porch restaurant on Front Street.
RBYC general manager George Robinson said they were glad to help the club out while they were between restaurants.
From May 6, Hamilton Lions will meet at the Porch restaurant in their private dining room. They will leave the RBYC on April 29.
In a letter to members, president Larry Dixon said: "We take this opportunity to thank the management and staff of the RBYC for all the courtesy extended to this club.'' In addition the Lions are not holding a meeting tomorrow, but Mr. Dixon appealed to members to support a joint breakfast prayer meeting on April 18.
Starting at 7.30 a.m. at the Grotto Bay Hotel, the meeting is held as part of a worldwide induction ceremony of members, said Mr. Dixon.
