Artists sought for BBSR fundraiser
hopes to raise awareness of ecological issues.
The Bermuda Biological Station for Research has teamed up with the Masterworks Foundation to hold the exhibition, which will be held at six different venues in October.
A percentage of money raised from the sale of works will go towards environmental research at the station.
Proceeds will also be donated to the Masterworks Foundation to support the organisation's mission to develop local art and also assist in art education programmes.
The works will be displayed at the ACE building, Colonial Insurance Foyer Gallery, the Rock Island Cafe, Number Six Shed and the Masterworks gallery.
"We hope to use local artwork to affect people's emotions about our environment and inspire them to become interested in the work being done to preserve its pristine condition,'' BBSR's Kathleen Frith said.
Anyone interested in submitting artwork for the show should contact Elise Outerbridge at the Masterworks Foundation on 295 2379.
