British Airways announced that it planned to introduce new features in a bid to improve its long-haul business travel service.

These features include products which are under development by the airline including a "lounge in the sky'' for Club World passengers.

This will feature completely flat beds, a new multi-channel entertainment system with bigger screens, in-seat power for laptop computers, e-mail, phones and facsimile.

It will give business passengers the flexibility to sleep, work or relax when they want.

BA chief executive Bob Ayling said: "Innovation is the hallmark of all British Airways product design.''
