Bermuda's SPCA have a number of animals which need good, loving homes. But make sure you can take care of them before adopting a pet.

Jennifer Paradine has put together some guidelines for adopting a pet. Ask yourself these questions before making a decision.

Is the animal right for my family and the size of my property? Is everyone in the family in agreement on adopting an animal? Can I afford this animal? Am I ready to make a long-term commitment? Who will be the primary care taker? Am I willing to put in the time for exercise, attention and training? The SPCA will make a property check before you are allowed to adopt a dog. All animals must be spayed or neutered.

Isn't he cute!: This lovable guy is called Milo. He is a Chow/Akita cross neutered male, brindle in colour, and is a loving and active dog. He will be great but you must give him exercise and training. Also have a little patience with Milo.
