This pass will be valid from Wednesday, September 11 until Wednesday December 18, 1996.
When purchasing a pass, students over the age of 16 will be required to show written confirmation of their intention to register for the summer term.
The fall pass can be purchased for $38 and may be obtained from the Public Transportation Board's head office at 26 Palmetto Road, Devonshire, the central terminal and all post offices except the Perot and the General Post Offices. Queries should be directed to the Public Transportation Board 292-3851.
*** The Sickle Cell Foundation of Bermuda will be hosting a conference and luncheon on behalf of September -- Sickle Cell month.
The conference will feature international guest speaker professor Graham Serjeant, director of the Medical Research Council, Jamaica and the Centre for Sickle Cell Disease, at the University of the West Indies.
Other experts speaking in the field of Sickle Cell will be Dr. Elizabeth Anionwu, PhD clinical genetics and fetal medicine, from the University of London, England, Morette Wright, BSc. diploma of education, University of the West Indies and a member of the Sickle Cell support club in Jamaica and Dr.
Keith Cunningham haematologist/chief pathologist at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
